Icewine – it’s what Canada’s winemakers are most known for internationally. This Icewine Festival, we decided to be local tourists. So follow along and pack you gear; drive out to Niagara for what promises to be a very fun and flavourful weekend.
This particular trip we decided to visit four fine wineries – not all of them making icewine. We ventured to Vineland, Ravine, Reif and Stratus. Each surprised and charmed us on its own terms, and in its own unique way. Ravine doesn’t produce an icewine but is looking to do that in 2010; Vineland and Stratus have their icewine specialities; Reif has been making icewine since it’s been called that.
