The Icewine festival runs month long in Niagara wine country, with a large list of wineries and restaurants playing host with a variety of events. Here’s a quick look of all the events taking place during the various festivities..
Icewine Tasting

Adventurous entertainers may have already learned what Winemaker Lawrence Buhler and Chef Jason Parsons already know: Icewine is best when enjoyed with food. During this lively and interactive experience you will sample four Icewines and four food items demonstrating the basic principles of pairing Icewine and cuisine. You will not only learn how to perfectly pair Icewine with cuisine, but explore how Icewine can be used in food preparation; a technique used daily by Chef Jason Parsons.

We are bringing the best part about Winter in Wine Country indoors, Icewine! At this signature brunch, settle down by the fireplace and enjoy a three-course limited a la carte Brunch menu and complimentary glass of Icewine. Created by Winery Chef and CityLine personality Jason Parsons, each dish on the menu is either infused with or inspired by Icewine. Reservations recommended. $47.95 per person, plus wine, tax and gratuity.

Hosted by Winemaker Lawrence Buhler and Winery Chef and CityLine personality Jason Parsons, the evening begins with an Icewine Martinis reception and all a 5-courses of this exquisite dinner are infused or inspired by winter’s finest gift, Icewine. After dinner, toast Icewine marshmallows over an open fire. $150 per person, exclusive of taxes and gratuities. $135 per person for Wine Club members.

Can’t make it for our Icewinemaker’s Dinner? Join us for our Icewinemaker’s Lunch instead! Hosted by winery Chef and CityLine personality Jason Parsons and visited upon by Winemaker Lawrence Buhler, all four courses of this lunch are made or paired with Icewine. After lunch, we will toast Icewine Marshmallow over an open fire. $85 per person, exclusive of taxes and gratuities.

In the Founders’ Hall you will sample Canadian Oak Aged Riesling Icewine, then enjoy Chardonnay Icewine in the Brae Burn Barn. You will finish your experience with Cabernet Franc Icewine on the Vineyard Patio.

Celebrate the season of Icewine, and enjoy an epicurean experience of five courses of Icewine inspired food and wine, served in picturesque locations throughout the winery. The first course, a selection of assorted hors d’oeuvres and sparkling wine, will be served in our Great Hall. This will be followed by a second course in the Atrium of our fermentation room. Next, enter our contemporary Tasting Gallery with its view of the vineyard and enjoy the third course. The fourth course will be served at candlelit tables amidst oak barrels in our vaulted ceiling Barrel Cellar. Finally, a sweet ending to your dining experience as you enjoy Icewine and dessert in our Estate Lounge overlooking our picturesque vineyard.
