Continue Reading →Fresh, homemade, buttermilk scones served alongside crisp natural, wood-smoked bacon. Ever since we’ve discovered David E.M. Martin’s bacon, this has become our Sunday morning breakfast.
Even raw, it’s a beautiful thing: lingering scent of wood-smoke, chemical-free, thickly sliced, simple and handmade.
For one whole year, Danielle Brodhagen and I spent every other Saturday morning, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Stratford YMCA introducing about 40 kids aged 3 to 12 to food that was good, clean, fair, seasonal and local.
