Year after year, Rosehall Run winery continues to produce award winning wines that reflect the unique conditions of the county, and the wines also leave a distinct impression on your palate. Formerly a Toronto resident and amateur winemaker, Dan and his wife Lynn moved to Prince Edward County after discovering that the soil and growing conditions were ideal for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Since then, Dan and Lynn Sullivan have not only set the template for wines made in the region, but have continued to nurture a collaborative attitude in the wine industry, always eager to lend a hand or share their experiences with the industry.

Today’s wine is the 2008 Sullyzwicker Red Blend from Rosehall. The Sullyzwicker series are blended wines created from estate fruit, with the combination changing from vintage to vintage. The 2008 version is made up of Cab Franc, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. With juicy mouthfeel and lots of ripe fruit, the wine is easy drinking but brings ample complexity, and is a no-brainer for fall dinners.

The wine won a silver medalist at the 2010 Artevino Awards. The name Sullyzwicker is also a combination, of Dan and Lynn’s family names, Sullivan and Zwicker.
