Colaneri’s story begins with a dream, a vision of what can be and today it continues a tradition with passion for family, life and all it encompasses. And as the love story of Maria and Joseph from Italy unfolds with possibilities of the new world, a 40 acre vineyard and two sons, the romance and suspense of the Mistera continues.
I thought this Gewurztraminer would start with a soft song, jazzy notes, and a vocalist quietly moving the quill between instrumentations. The intense floral aromas of the wine combined with the lychee definitely created intrigue and excitement from the beginning and so I thought befitting a song that speaks of things not turning out like the narrator thought they would – Peach Plum Pear by Joanna Newsom.
As I continued to drink, its upbeat feel continued to intrigue me until I reached You’ll Find A Way by Dead Prez during which time I closed my eyes and concentrated on the wine and how smooth it was to drink and then came the soft vocalist voice I was waiting for – Little Thunder by Zooey – and I knew: it was the honey.
Colaneri says that words begin the intrigue and excitement of imagination and so does this wine. For me it happened when music accompanied words and so here is a soundtrack I’ve created for my feelings as I was drinking Mistera.
I end the soundtrack with Camera Obscura’s Razzle Dazzle Rose because it’s a feel good song and that’s how I felt after drinking this wine. I hope you enjoy the soundtrack and maybe it relates to some of your feelings as you are drinking this wine too.
